The Community Institute for Psychotherapy (CIP), a
nonprofit, grassroots agency, has been serving Marin
County for over 30 years. We offer quality, affordable
counseling and psychotherapy for families, individuals,
and couples. We can help with conditions including depression,
anxiety, relationship problems, parenting and family
issues, work and career issues, major life changes and
transitions, child and adolescent concerns, school-related
issues, grief and bereavement, trauma, domestic violence,
abuse, substance abuse, and gender issues. At CIP, clients
learn to understand themselves better and how to live
richer, fuller lives.
CIP assumes a prominent role in fostering mental health
through community education and professional development.
Our new education
and prevention pages on this website offer valuable
information about relationships, parenting, depression,
and a range of other topics. Check out our community
conference, open to the public and professionals
as well as a host of other exciting professional
development opportunities.
If you want to be part of strengthening our safety
net for all Marin residents, find out how
you can help CIP. Helping individuals and healing
families strengthens our community every day.
"Every
person whose pain has been eased
by treat-
ment received from CIP gives back in some
way to our community. CIP causes
ripples of change and hope."
