Michael A. Freeman, MD, author, psychiatrist and clinical psychologist, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UCSF School of Medicine.

First Break in Adolescence: How to Anticipate the Onset and Contain the Impact of Serious Mental Illness - Familiarizes non- MD mental health clinicians about emerging first break detection and management strategies, illustrating how therapists can provide necessary clinical services and coordinate with psychiatrists in a collaborative care team.


Michael R. Edelstein, PhD, author of the award winning Three Minute Therapy, a self-help book for overcoming common emotional and behavioral problems, specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and addictions.

A Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Approach To Addiction: Dr. Edelstein will discuss the theory and practice of the REBT approach to addiction, which focuses on its cognitive-behavioral aspects. REBT teaches clients how to identify their addictive thinking and make profound changes in their beliefs, behaviors, and emotions.


Marin Teen Mental Health Board Panel - A one-hour session in which a student panel will talk about their experiences and solutions on the subject of Internet Safety and Risk, and the personal challenges they face as teens with mental health disorders.
