Dr. Barbara Waterman has a private practice

is on the faculty of the Ann Martin Children's Center
of Oakland, and the author of The Birth of an Adoptive,
Foster or Step-Mother: Beyond Biological Mothering Attachments.
Dr. Waterman, who holds a doctorate from Harvard University,
lectures and teaches widely.
